Toilet Terminology

With half of the December holidays behind us, Water Heater Repair Miami decided to have a little fun this week and wished to share a new infographic by Phil Luther with you. It is exactly 7 months to the 104th anniversary of John Crapper’s death (July 27), the individual to whom the development of the flush toilet is usually related to. Actually, in 1596 John Harrington created the modern-day flush toilet, though Crapper did further the development of the toilet and held many essential plumbing patents that made toilets work much better and in a more hygienic way.

Your toilet might be working a little overtime this holiday season if you have had many visitors and family in from out of town. We recommend for everybody to be mindful of what all gets flushed so you won’t have to call us for any toilet repairs. Attempt to keep a trash can in plain sight next to the toilet so visitors will utilize it and not flush items that you would not typically flush yourself … maybe keep a plunger in plain sight too, just in case.

Delight in the list of synonymous terms for the word “toilet” here and delight in the rest of the season!
